After reading  Secret Note #23

Upon delivering maple syrup to the bear after reading Secret Note #23, the Bear begins to sell goods from their cave in Forest West. If the player hasn't delivered the bear maple syrup, interacting with the cave returns the message "Doesn't look like anyone is home...".
The Bear also appears in several events with Apples, where the two are shown to be friends.

The bear cave location relative to Aurora Vineyard.
The Bear's cave is located in the northwest corner of Forest West. It is reached by following a path to the southwest of Aurora Vineyard and finding a break in the treeline. Continuing north leads to the cave. The interior is inaccessible.
The shop is a good source for quest, recipe, and crafting ingredients that are not available every season.
