The Calico Desert has been redesigned for Stardew Valley Expanded.

The oasis is split into multiple pools, and Sandy's shop has moved closer to the bus stop. The sand dragon bones are now located south of the oasis instead of behind the shop. The three pillar ruins have also been moved from behind the Desert Trader to the far south of the map. Finally, the entrance to the Skull Cavern is found through a small crack in the mountain to the south of the trader.

The Pyramid Decal can be found by fishing by the waterfall (10% chance).

As of version 1.13.3, there is no longer a smaller desert configuration option, as the new map combines aspects of both previous versions of the map.

Oasis

The Oasis interior redesign.

The Oasis is open 9:00 AM to 11:50 PM on non-festival days. Once the player has 5 hearts with Sandy, she will visit Pelican Town on Saturdays. She will also visit on the 22nd of each month for community day if the community center is restored. During these times the Oasis building will be open, however Sandy's counter will be closed and purchases cannot be made. The Oasis' interior has been redesigned for Stardew Valley Expanded.

Foraging

In addition to the original spawn levels, between 2 and 4 foragable items spawn in the area around the southern oasis each day. These do not stack over the course of a week, disappearing every night instead.
